After a weekend filled with veggies, fruits, and all things healthy (and yummy too!) I cracked a little tonight. Ok maybe a lot. But go ahead ask me if i regret it. Oh heck to the no. Not even a little bit. Let me introduce you to the most delicious, easiest to make, find-all-the-ingredients-hiding-out-in-your-pantry dessert EVER.
Salted Caramel Chocolate Pretzel Bark
- pretzels (enough to line a pan)
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 sticks of butter (oh yeah thats right)
- lots of chocolate chips
Making It Happen:
Line your pan with foil and a layer of pretzels. Melt the two sticks of butter in a saucepan then add your brown sugar and stir together. Boil and keep stirring until it caramelizes (aka turns brown and looks kinda nasty). Pour a fairly even coat over the pretzels then pop in the oven for 5 minutes at 350. Ding. Take the pan out and cover with chocolate chips then as they melt spread them out with a spatula. Throw some sea salt on there, stick it in the fridge for an hour or so and wham bam bow you're ready to chow down. DELISH.
