The Saturday before spring break Thomas's parents made a trip to Waco and threw Thomas a surprise party. They were quite sneaky and I felt sure that Thomas would be completely surprised (his birthday was still a few days away). However, Thomas is very keen and I think caught on fairly quickly. Regardless, a good time was had by all! Complete with sweet time spent in worship, written encouragement notes for Thomas, and the traditional photobooth, this night spent celebrating was so fun. Thomas and I have been friends since high school and now lead a Life Group together. He is a talented musician, faithful friend, great communicator, & a humble and gracious leader. One of my favorite things about the whole night was looking up during worship and finding myself surrounded by a somewhat random assortment of people. But that's Thomas for you, all things to all people, relatable as all get out, and connecting people just by being himself. So thankful you were born Thomas!
